Grace, Grit and Gold: Robin Cousins MBE OLY – Delights Charity Audience

Robin Cousins MBE OLY, delivered the most enlightening talk to an audience at The Nest, at Chichester Festival Theatre, in support of the local children’s charity, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.

Taking centre stage beside a signed photograph of Gene Kelly—the Hollywood icon whose effortless style first sparked his love of dance—Robin reflected on the moments that shaped his remarkable journey.

Speaking with warmth, humour and elegance, he described discovering his “white canvas” on a sheet of ice, where he instantly knew he was “home”. Sharing stories of unwavering determination, resilience and the challenges he overcame in pursuit of excellence, Robin left guests with a powerful reminder that passion, perseverance and self-belief can turn dreams into reality.

The event was held at The Nest, the popular year-old venue adjacent to the Chichester Festival Theatre.  A particular highlight was the rare opportunity for guests to see—and even hold—Robin’s treasured Olympic Gold Medal, making the occasion truly memorable.”
